Video Clips

DVD coverThe video clips available for viewing on this page are segments from a longer DVD which takes you into two classrooms at the Main Street School in Exeter, New Hampshire to view Artists/Writers Workshop firsthand. The following clips showcase the art and writing of first- and second-grade students participating in Picturing Writing and Image-Making accompanied by their reflections. The clips also offer a brief overview of art-based literacy and provide documentation on the effectiveness of this approach in improving students' reading and writing.
