We've Moved!

The Center for the Advancement of Art-Based Literacy is pleased to announce that we have moved off the University of New Hampshire campus and will operate as a nonprofit entity in partnership with the Institute for Art-Based Literacy in Durham, New Hampshire. We Meet Moderate Evidence Under ESSA!
Picturing Writing: Fostering Literacy Through Art and Image-Making Within the Writing Process qualify as Tier II Evidence-Based Literacy Models under the Every Student Succeeds Act.

Grant Award Announcement
The Institute for Art-Based Literacy in partnership with the Center for the Advancement of Art-Based Literacy has been awarded a grant from New Hampshire Humanities to conduct a 5-day summer institute on the Image-Making Immigration Unit for NH teachers who work with English learners (ESOL teachers, classroom teachers and art teachers). This project was made possible with support from New Hampshire Humanities, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Humanities. Learn more at www.nhhumanities.org

French Translations
We have had a groundswell of interest in our work from teachers in French-immersion schools in Canada. Some of our Picturing Writing mentor texts and posters and Image-Making mentor texts are available in French.
